[Purified DNA from Japanese-Origin B Cell Lines]

1. The purified DNA from Japanese-origin B cell lines
The DNA samples were purified from B cell lines derived by EBV transformation of peripheral blood lymphocytes from single donor blood samples. These B cell lines were deposited by the Pharma SNP Consortium (PSC) and the Japan Biological Informatics Consortium (JBIC). Informed consent had been obtained for the deposit of B cell lines to HSRRB and for their use in research. The PSC cell lines were derived from 971 normal Japanese volunteers. (592 males and 379 females). The JBIC cell lines consist of 438 cell lines originating from Japanese normal subjects, 245 from rheumatoid arthritis patients, 296 from psoriasis, and 195 from type 2 diabates patients.
2. How to request the purified DNA from Japanese-origin B cell lines
The Request and Agreement Form for the Supply of purified DNA from Japanese-origin B cell lines (Form A-3) is to be filled out, signed, and sent to HSRRB by mail or fax. The DNA samples should be handled according to the ethical principles as the case for human-derived materials. The distribution of the DNA samples require the approval of INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD (IRB) in the applicant's institute. Prior to the request of the DNA samples to HSRRB, please receive the approval of IRB, and submit a copy of the approval to us at ordering.

3. Specimens and Shipment
In principle, the DNA samples are able to be shipped by courier as frozen state. Individual DNA sample is provided as a frozen state in 100 μL TE buffer (10 μg DNA/sample). The gender and age at collection of blood is available for most samples. For PSC cell lines, 50 or 100 set DNA samples (selected evenly from male and female of age 20's - 60's, 2 μg DNA/sample) are also available.
4. Service fees
  Individual DNA (10 μg DNA/sample)
7,500 Japanese yen per sample plus transportation expense and the bank charge. The DNA samples are discounted for more 30 samples in the same order as follows:
30 - 99 samples 20% discount
100 - 499 samples 35% discount
500 - 999 samples 60% discount
more than 1,000 samples 70% discount
  50 sample set (2 μg DNA/sample)
60,000 Japanese yen plus transportation expense and the bank charge.
  100 sample set (2 μg DNA/sample)
100,000 Japanese yen plus transportation expense and the bank charge.

6. Request for cooperation at the time of publication
Research results obtained from the purified DNA from Japanese-origin B cell lines can be informative to other researchers. Therefore, we would appreciate receiving a copy of reprint, when you publish the results in journals. We would also like you to state in your paper the procurement of the DNA samples from HSRRB.
